SPEARMENT CANDY Socks

Hello again!
What a fun yarn! As it is knitted, it creates this pattern all by itself. I knitted both at the same time, on circular needles. I wanted the socks to be asymmetrical and didn't try to start the yarn in the same place of it's pattern. The yarns pattern's repeat was so close, the asymmetry was a bit successful but I wish the contrast was a bit more exaggerated.

Although the hat looks like red, it's really a hot pink (aaarg, I can't wait until I have my img software loaded again)! At least you get the idea!!!!!!

Blueberry Hat

Hello again!
Was looking for ideas for hats to keep my daughter warm during her Nature's Classroom trip, coming up soon. Found this cute pattern on Ravelry.com. Great site for knitters!!! I believe this pattern was free (not sure because I could figure it out without downloading one).

Originally, it was designed to be a baby hat, but since hats are pretty standard, I did it for an older child/adult. Incorporating the green color is the same as any other pattern. The decreases happen within the green pattern.

Yarns are from my stash box. They aren't as dark as they appear on the screen, I can't adjust colors without my img software, which I don't have reloaded on my new computer, yet. SOON! :)

Knitted on size 9 circular needles, right up to the end of the knotted cord!

BOY BLUE Socks For Hubby

Hubby has had LOTS of sweaters knitted for him by me but never a pair of socks. After I finished a pair of socks for each of my daughters, I made these for him and he loves them!

Yellow Eyelet Socks From Start to Finish

Just finished the yellow socks. Took pictures along the way, to show how I did the "Magic Loop" method for two at once, toe-up socks. I didn't really read one specific method or technique from one particular sock artist (designer), but instead incorporated the way I learned to do socks with things I saw in pictures online for the one needle "magic loop" method. Since I have been working with round needles for many decades, the whole thing made sense, quickly.

Unfortunately, my circular needles' center flexible nylon piece isn't as long as I read online they should be, but it still worked well and without a lot of problems. My needles are not the best quality on the market, so my stitches were hung up a lot on the crimped spots, but overall I really liked this method for doing socks.

At the toe, I started the knitting with a piece of junk yarn chained. From that, I picked up the lumps (24 for 24 stitches) and away I went! Shamefully, I didn't take a picture of that step... I'll be sure to show that someday.

Circular Needle and Toe-Up Socks

Here's my first pair of Toe-Up Socks on one circular knitting needle, in progress. Mondays are my daughters' day of after school activities and I had a lot of time to sit and figure this out. So psyched with the way it's turning out.
