Karma

The word is so powerful.

I know someone whom is the hardest worker, the biggest team player and the easiest going person in the world. Recently, that person was terribly wronged.

All I can say is to this wonderful person... Karma. What comes around, goes around. Stay balanced and all things will balance around you and you will be on top again.

With love....

Gotta Love Life In The Countryside

Yesterday our middle school and high school outdoor activities were hindered because of a roaming bear. I wonder if the bear is still hanging around and if the kids have to stay in again, on this BEAUTIFUL day!??!

Mother's Day Hat!

Hello again!
I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Spoiled rotten. Even had time to make this hat from a knitted hat base I completed not long before. LOVE the color green.

Not sure if I finished the hat correctly. Once it dried, I was concerned the hat would lose it's shape. When I was confident it was thoroughly dry, I stitched along the raised area, lightly to hold it's shape. Maybe the next one I won't and see how it holds in the long run.

Silk Pillbox Hat

Hello again!
I inherited some really beautiful silk material, when my uncle died... guess it may have been my grandmother's or maybe her sister's stash, although I am not sure. Been saving the fabric for just the right projects.

Well, this pillbox hat seemed like the perfect project. I made the cording that goes around the crown, by reversing the silk fabric. The hat is fully lined and has two clips to help hold the hat on.

It's currently listed on Etsy; http://www.etsy.com/shop/PeaSoupDesigns

They are thinking about blowing up Bin Laden's old mansion (? mansion ?), but I think it would be more ironic if it became a Girls' Dorm and a Girls' College!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fastens with a comb, which is attached in the front.

Hand stretched felt, hand made tiny silk flowers and hand embellishing on store-bought flowers. Gold netting attached in back, under flowers.

More Fascinators.

I do hope you all enjoy seeing these as much as I do making them. Fascinators and hats are so fun to make. I do hope the less flamboyant ones catch on, here in the states.

Top two are the headband style fascinator and the bottom is a barrette style, which opens on the right side.

Thank you for stopping by. Please come again and let me know what you think. I'd love to know your thoughts regarding hats and fascinators.
