A friend of mine, who is an avid sailor, requested this pillow for her granddaughter, (nicknamed Ladybug). I am so flattered and it was so fun coming up with this design.
I just love mixing and matching fabrics.

I am glad February is the month set aside for sweethearts. I remember when I was young, how special Valentine's Day was to me.
The cupcake is all stitched and just the background needs to be completed. The threads you see are the beginning and ends of the machine's stitches. I will be hiding them between the layers of fabric and batting...
Right now, I am trying to decide what to put in the background. It will be in a neutral thread, so that it will not compete with the pink image.
