The other day I saw a manual pasta press and cutter and finally broke down and bought it. Was I so glad I did. There are so many great tasting pasta dough recipes that I never knew of, (so many decades ago).
Here's a garlic and onion pasta I made for dinner tonight. Have to admit I cheated a bit and used powdered garlic and onion seasoning but the taste still really pops in the dough!
I find it easier to make pasta nests to let them dry. Otherwise the strands tend to break when I pick them up to throw the pasta in the boiling water.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you try making pasta too, one day!
PS
I made a pork tenderloin crockpot recipe and used the pasta instead of potatoes. I have TRIED to make this dinner several times, this week but it was too frozen. The other afternoon I cooked the meat part way and left it on the back porch (accidentally over night) and it FROZE solid. Took several hours in the crock on low to melt and cook. Finally a couple days later the meat was pull-apart-good and done and ready for the homemade garlic pasta!
Now it's time to get ready for a friend's house, for the evening!
NITE!
