Prototype For Traveling Clothes

Hello again!

Worked a little on a design for a traveling outfit, for when my commission is shipped. She needs some stylin' travelin' clothes. right?

The bonnet is reversible. The jacket comes off and underneath is a nice cotton dress.

The outfit is shown on my doll. I am finishing Violet (the commission) tomorrow, while the girls are spending time with the aunts and other family (quiet day for momma).

Still Waiting For The Eyes

Hi again.

Thought I'd share the latest pictures of my commission vampire reborn doll, Violet.

Her eyes have been special ordered by the woman whom commissioned the doll. The eyes are really neat, with metallic accents and purple in color. I can't wait to see them. With the fangs, the missing eyes are very creepy but she's so cute!

She also purchased fabric for the doll's dress. I love the fabric. I will be sure to take pictures of the finished dress. For the past couple days, I've been fine-tuning a pattern, just for this doll.

A New Doll Dress for 22" Doll

Hello again!

Here's a dress I just finished. It's a pattern that fits a 22" doll. It's basically the same pattern shown in the brown. Unfortunately, I put that pattern somewhere and can't find it. So, back to the paper and pencil I redid the pattern and I think it turned out better around the neckline. I also took a little time and created a pattern for the little underpants to cover the diaper. That also turned out well and is in the same pattern as the dress.

I decided to make the color yellow so that it doesn't get lost in the fabric's pattern. I had hoped the panties would also be in yellow but my first version didn't work out well and that was the last of the fabric. (That will teach me not to dive right in without testing first.)

The sleeves in this new pattern (and also the brown dress pattern) are longer than previously. This helps hide the cloth upper arm better.

After the last pattern's disappearance, I will definitely scan this new pattern.

Wicked Weird Art Doll

Happy Mother's Day and anniversary to me!

And was I surprised! I got some really fun art supplies. Here's what I made with some Italian clay, Das. I had some glass eyes kicking around, so I thought I try this weird animal.

I think rabbit but my daughters both say dog.

I antiqued the clay to tone down the white the clay has, when dry.

I hope everyone else had a good day with their mom or remembering her fondly.
