Finished and ready to wrap for Christmas!
Both mittens, hat and the hat's flower are hand knit and felted.
Hat and flowers are stiffened so they have a better chance holding shape in damp weather (although I wouldn't wear the hat in a down-pour).
Days before Thanksgiving, my uncle died. We are all gathering on Cape Cod to say good-bye. It's going to be cold, so I made this hat to keep my head warm.
Another Christmas present finished!
Only 4 more hats and 2 pairs of mittens. Boy am I cutting this close. Driving to the Cape on Saturday for a funeral so I will probably get a lot of knitting done in the car.
Just a thumb to go and then it's time for felting.
This colorwork pattern turned out well. Reminds me of a quilt.
(Another Holiday gift which will also include a hat.)
