Wild Turkey On The Rocks!

Hi!
Hubby and I came across these beautiful birds while out and about, doing the weekday thing!

As I hung out the car's window taking the pictures, the turkeys kept running back and forth, back and forth, in the middle of the road. Could have sat there all day and watched. There were at le...ast seven of them!

Hello again! Just finished these comfy pants made of flannel. I am going to love wearing these pants while racing to my daughters' different activities on a cold, dark gray winter day. Warm, colorful and happy!

Simplicity Pattern 5259 Faux Leather Pants!

Hello again!
I couldn't resist making these pants; Naugahyde! Only free range, responsibility harvested Naugas were used!

One pair is a brown and the other is a fun deep cordovan color! As with leather, these will darken with age.

Also picked up some fun flannel fabrics to make two more really cozy pants. Then that will be 9 pairs of pants. That's a far cry from my lacking wardrobe of last year...

Simplicity Pattern 5259

Finally, a pattern that fits me well!

It's been so long since I have had a good pair of pants. I have given up finding something off the rack. If I am able find something that fits me in the waist then the pants are way too short. Honestly, I haven't found anything that fits me in the waist in years. So, I began to search for a pattern...

Finding a pattern that was not a draw-string style has also been challenging. Then I found this pattern. Man, let me tell you, I am going to go from "Nothing to wear" to "What should I wear?"!!!! I am on cloud nine, wearing new jeans.

Just check these out! Black denim, blue denim, brown corduroy and a fun red flower print on black corduroy! And definitely more to come.

Poppy Seed Homemade Buns

These turned out well and were so yummy. The poppy seeds were a hit with my younger daughter and husband but my older daughter wasn't thrilled with them. Next time, I'll make two batches and go wild with one and keep the other simple.

Cool Weather Means Warm Things

The past few weeks have been on the chilly side, inspiring me to bring out the knitting needles!

This pair of mittens is handmade on straight needles, with acrylic yarn. Warm and cozy for the colder days.

Viewing mittens as another accessory, I love having as many of them as I do shoes and of course they have to match the outfit! So I created this pattern for straight needles decades ago.

Please visit my Etsy Shop for more items!

The color on this pair of mittens is not quite accurate, it's more of a colonial or primitive maroon...

Thank you for looking!

FRESH BREAD

Hello again!
Still trying to learn recipes and incorporating a fresher, homemade diet that does not include any preservatives and trying to stay away from store-bought-style anything. Unrealistic I know, but the more I practice the better and easier it will be.

Have made a ton of pickles, relish, jelly and jams. Will be canning huge tomatoes from the garden when ready.

Also hoping to have some vegetable soups in cans, for days when there's no time to cook.

Here are some breads, freshly made today! Bread has been fun to learn and am eager to try more.
