A Few New Soaps

This is a fun soap. Like the unique way the drops pooled.

Aren't these angels adorable? I fell in love with them when I saw them.

Here are some bars cut from another loaf mold.

Really Love The Flower Mold

It's just a simple loaf mold with a pretty impression mat, but what a satisfying soap it is when it's done!

There's so much Olive Oil in the recipe, it's amazing how much the white turns yellow-ish as the soap cures.

March's Batches

These batches of soap will be available in March!

The flower mold made quite the splash with my online group and my real life friends!

People who saw these soaps below all wanted to eat them because they look like Creamsicles. However, as time goes by, the colors have been darkening. But still look cool!

Wonder Bread Soap

This design reminds me of Wonder Bread. There used to be a Wonder Bread factory, in Natick, MA. When they were baking the bread, the entire area smelled great!

I saw Missouri River Soap's idea and just HAD to try it. Fun to do. The soap ball embeds took forever to make.

St Patrick's Day Soap, Curing

I know it seems a bit early but by the time this cures (6 weeks), it will be close to St Patrick's Day.

I made the little shamrocks with melt and pour soap and tiny little molds. Took quite a while to pour and collect the little things. I also sprinkled gold mica over the top.

Just Duckie!

This is my most recent lye soap pour. I created the little duckies by pouring soap into a mold I made with silicone (yep, those little guys are soap too!).

I am so excited to see the white, blue and green inside. Hoping I didn't over mix the colors before pouring into the loaf mold.

New Winter Craft

Along with knitting and art, I have been making soap! Started off years ago working with Melt and Pour soaps but always wanted to try making REAL soap, like the way they did it in olden days. However, lye really intimidated me because it's such a dangerous substance to work with. But, this month I conquered my fear!

Here are my first three soap pours. The yellow color is the soap's natural color, because of the Virgin Olive Oil I used. There are SO MANY soap recipes, I am sure eventually I will find one that doesn't created such a yellow base soap. For now, it makes a pretty two color blend.

The green and black soap scents are Green Irish, by Nature's Garden. The pink soap scent is Watermelon, also by Nature's Garden.
