Polymer Cane Flower Crochet Hooks

Hi Everyone!
Friday, I had some free time to enjoy with my younger daughter and we played with polymer clay.

Wanted to use up some old polymer clay canes. Figured because the hooks were too small, they would be a good place to use the clay.

The crochet hooks are so much more comfortable in my hand and are still well balanced for crocheting!

Thank you for looking!!!

Solid Shell Pattern Afghan

Hello again!
Here's a fun pattern called "Solid Shells". I love this pattern. Sort of really have to pay attention to the counting or I mess up the pattern, but otherwise it is fast working. Using a size N hook and Super Saver Red Heart yarn. The final size will be in between a twin and a full size afghan.

Making this afghan for my husband. Gets chilly at night in New Hampshire and this will be warm!

Thank you for stopping by. Please come again.

Second Afghan, So Far....

Second Afghan, So Far, originally uploaded by CraftyPease.

Hi everyone!
Here's the latest afghan.
These are most of my favorite colors.

Ran out of Petal Pink but unfortunately we are having a snow storm today, so I won't be venturing out for yarn.

Using my quilting skills, I am putting it together in the same manner.

This is going to hibernate for a couple of weeks or so. Have to make a couple more sympathy afghans. I can't wait for it to be finished. Will make a great spring time afghan.

Thank you for looking.

The Sympathy Quilt Finished.

And my mother-in-law loves it!!!

Adding the Border

Adding the Border, originally uploaded by CraftyPease.

Hi all!
Survived the "snow bomb" and all shoveled.

Even worked more on the afghan and getting closer to the end. All sewn and ends woven and clipped. Just adding the border, which will be 4 maybe 5 colors. We'll see how crazy I am by then and how quickly I got there!!! :)

Thanks for looking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SYMPATHY Afghan...What Is Done, So Far

Afghan So Far, originally uploaded by CraftyPease.

Hi!
Well, so far I have sewn all the squares together to form a row and have sewn 4 rows together. Only 8 more rows to sew and off it goes.

With the passing of my father-in-law, I thought it best this afghan go to my mother-in-law. I am sure it will never replace her husbands love and warmth, but it will at least do a little of the job.

Granny Squares

Granny Squares, originally uploaded by CraftyPease.

Wanted to make a nice cozy afghan as a gift... the only problem is, I had to first learn to crochet and then learn how to do an afghan square pattern. Good thing for the internet!!!!

Thank you for looking!

Granny Square Rose Flower

Even though I just learned how to crochet at the very end of December, I just had to try to learn this pattern!!

Here's the addy if you want to try.

The pattern has a really cool 3D effect to it. It's a nice compliment to all the other flat style granny squares. Going to also have some squares with gray petals and these 3D type squares will will "peppered" all over the afghan.
