I found out today, my close friend from college and roommate, post college, had a massive stroke, 3 weeks ago. She's been in ICU and the prognosis is still unclear. Oh, I am so sad.
Please say a prayer.

Early morning, on my way around town I took this picture of Amherst's wild turkeys. They wonder EvErYWhErE and they have even ended up in our yard a couple times!
Later on, we went to the Amherst's PTA presentation of Seusical. Wow, do we have some talented people in our town. What a wonderful show.

On this special day, I can't believe there is still snow in some areas and at the same time the wetlands are full and the frogs are so vocal! Whatta favorite time of year it is.

(Sadly the pics were taken at different times, so the yarn looks different... the color in the second picture isn't so "sun bleached" and is MUCH closer to the actual color)...
A friend of mine is involved in organizing an auction for Cystic Fibrosis and she asked if I had anything to donate. I decided to knit this sweater, special for the auction.
My friend is Irish, straight from Ireland, so I thought it would be fun to make this Irish knit sweater a little personal "thing" between us, two.
Please wish the sweater lots of luck and hope it wins LOTS OF MONEY for the cure!

Boy, I love spring. It's the season of hearts! I am sorry and ashamed to admit, I am a late bloomin' romantic and an appreciator of cycle of life and love.
My nephew is getting married in a few weeks! Ooooh gush!
Speaking of love.... I have kept a couple of Passion Flowers I've keep alive, in my bedroom room (south facing and the best room!) and they haven't stopped making leaves, all winter long. I am eager to see the flowers again, this summer. Should come quickly because it's a mature plant.
I have successfully done the same with one, possibly two of my tropical hibiscus... but the third (my favorite braided hibiscus) suffered the "yum-yums" of my beagle. No worries!!! Hibiscus is very healthy and medicinal. Supposed to make a decent tea, (but I will stick to my own tea favorites). :D I love plants much, I'd have a garden in my room, if I could, trust me! °u° .

Snow is melting at an amazing rate and flooding is everywhere. Post Road, which runs in front of the high school is closed, but school's still open?!!? Not an April Fool's joke?!!?
"Good Morning,
Today is Tuesday, April 1, 2014. We have a road closure on Boston Post Road at the bridge near Souhegan High School. Be advised that you should seek an alternate route to SHS and AMS this morning. School is in session today and buses are running.
That "route" means going WAY AROUND Amherst, and Amherst's a big town! On a normal day, some of the kids living in the outskirts of town are on their bus for literally an hour. Maybe a "Late Start" would have been a good idea?!!?
