Teal Sweater Further Along

Hello again!
Made a little more progress on the teal sweater. Decided after finishing a sleeve the sleeve looked terrible, so I unraveled it and started again. The second time around, I picked up stitches from the body's armhole. We'll see if this time is the charm...

Do like the way the mock turtleneck turned out. Not too high or tight, making it perfect for a regular turtleneck underneath, when the weather gets colder.

I picked this strange color to match a couple flannel pants I recently made. The yarn is by Sweetheart and it's a nylon/poly blend. Wanted the worsted cotton but couldn't find the color in the local stores and online was a tick expensive.

Bright Yellow Sample Sweater

Hello again!
Finished this sweater a couple days ago. It is another sample sweater. On this sweater, the sleeves do not repeat the body pattern (unlike the sweater I posted the other day...), instead both sleeves on this sweater are different from the other and is just a partial pattern pulled from the body's pattern.

The color is a wonderful bright yellow cotton yarn. Going to be a fun, happy color in the dead of winter! It's also very roomy so I'll be able to have layers underneath without the feeling of being stuffed. Bought and used a good part of two cones of the color.

I have been knitting for so long and make up my own patterns. The sweater design is very basic and it's pattern are stitch patterns that can be found in old sweaters such as fishermen sweaters.

Happy Halloween

Hello again!
Every season we put out a different mailbox which I handpaint, to celebrate the season. The kids on the school bus get a treat out of seeing them.

Stacked!

Hello again!
Going to be WaRm and CoZy! We LOVE heating with wood. It's such a penetrating heat and in New England, it can get cold!

We had these six cords of wood delivered over the weekend and had fun as a family stacking. Even had the little ones from next door interested in the "play"!

Expecting another delivery in the next few days. Let's see if we can enlist the helpers again!

Wild Turkey On The Rocks!

Hi!
Hubby and I came across these beautiful birds while out and about, doing the weekday thing!

As I hung out the car's window taking the pictures, the turkeys kept running back and forth, back and forth, in the middle of the road. Could have sat there all day and watched. There were at le...ast seven of them!
