I took these this morning, just after sunrise...
Things are starting to melt and the ground is finally showing (at least in the front yard)!
If you at the pics below you can see most areas still have a few inches left to melt.
Looking closely, you can see the different layers of snow from the different storms along the way!

Last Friday (3.15) was Pi Day at the AMS!!! The entire 7th grade all competed to see who could learn the most digits in Pi, Laura memorized 150 and she won! The prize is whole pie of her very own!!!!
Yesterday, she ordered Chocolate Cream. She's such a giving, selfless girl, I am sure all the kids in her unit will share in her success! I can't wait to hear how much she enjoyed it. I am SOOOO proud of her!

HEART Aran Sweater #2
Hurt my heel a little bit ago and have been taking it easy. Except for a quick walk in the back yard with my beagle and shoe shopping with my daughters, I've been resting the foot and staying sane by knitting. Finished my daughter's sweater just in time for all that cold weather to be over. Oh well, it's still sweater weather, right?

Combination of different patterns, creates this "One-Of-A-Kind" sweater:
Cable Confidence has the beautiful pattern for the large panels on either side of the hearts. Here's a link to the book on -->Amazon<--
The hearts are from an old magazine pattern for a baby sweater (at the time I was childless so I only jotted down the heart part of the pattern)... recently I found the pattern again, on Ravelry.
FOR SOME REASON... Ravelry's link makes it difficult for one to retrieve the heart pattern. Sorry. Click --> HERE <-- for just the heart portion of the pattern (the part of the pattern I jotted down years ago).
