I am glad February is the month set aside for sweethearts. I remember when I was young, how special Valentine's Day was to me.

The cupcake is all stitched and just the background needs to be completed. The threads you see are the beginning and ends of the machine's stitches. I will be hiding them between the layers of fabric and batting...

Right now, I am trying to decide what to put in the background. It will be in a neutral thread, so that it will not compete with the pink image.

New Sketch

This s sketch for a Valentine's Day wall hanging.

Next step is to either redraw electronically, at a larger size or just scan this image and print at a larger size. Since this sketch is fairly clean, I may just print and transfer.

APRIL SHOWERS

Bring May Flowers

Finished this 20" x 24" wall hanging. It's a mini whole cloth created by free motion quilting on my singer sewing machine.

If you look carefully at the background, you can see bumbershoots in with the wind swirls!

Feeling Better!

Poor pup hurt her back last weekend. Took her to the vet and they kept her there for 3 long days. She was in such pain, they stapled a time-release pain patch onto her lower back. :( When she returned home, she spent the rest of the week sleeping recovering. Yesterday was her first really great day and today she's mostly back to her old self (only a bit more cautious)

I really missed my silly, unconditionally and perpetually happy pup! So happy she's better.
