Champaign Bubbles Quilt Almost Done!

Champaign Bubble Quilt
Quilt is really coming along. I am not doing this one on the huge quilting rack I usually use. Instead, ordered a PVC floor frame that can easily be moved from room to room. However, the new floor frame has not come in yet (expecting it today or tomorrow) but I couldn't wait to start the hand quilting again. So, I am working on the kitchen island without a frame, hoop or rack. Turns out it is a lot easier than I thought!
Love the circles. To me, they look like bubbles - maybe from a bottle of champaign (some of the quilt blocks look like the corks, too!)
Thank you for looking!!! Soon the quilt will be done, please come back to see it soon!

Started the Hand Quilting
It's 21 degrees Fahrenheit. Perfect night for quilting by the wood stove!
This is the frogged quilt. I am now hand quilting the layers together. A bubble design is all I could come up with and so far it's been fun to do.

Quilt, Frogged and Re-Sandwiched
I started this quilt top years ago and recently decided to complete this a some other unfinished projects before I drown in them! Unfortunately, after doing all the quilting on my huge, wooden quilting rack it turned out terribly wonky. So after ripping out all the stitches (frogged), I sandwiched the layers. This picture was taken as most of the basting was completed (again). You can see the pins and the red thread with which I am also basting.
Hopefully, I will have this quilt hand quilted again, soon. I really liked the colors and the pattern. Let's hope it's still good after the quilting is done again. If not - FROGGED again!
Total quilt size is 64x80 inches.
Thank you for looking!

It Really Hurts.
I previously posted this quilt and the back-story about Mike, just a few posts ago...
Mike's life support was turned off today.
Ya know it's like a burning feeling, down deep inside the throat and stomach area.
It really hurts to lose such a wonderful guy. The world is a sadder place.
Rest in Peace Mike Mullen. Rest in peace.

Chicken Noodle Soup - Perfect Cure!
It's been a while since I've made a chicken noodle soup from scratch and not a moment too soon. Hope it cures what afflicts my sick family!
